AGY Launches ‘Made in America’ Campaign

AIKEN, SC USA – (November 14, 2013) – In announcing the launch of AGY’s Made in
America campaign, President and CEO Drew Walker said that “AGY is proud to be an American
manufacturing. With the enormous loss of manufacturing jobs in the U.S. over the last few years, it has
spurred a nationwide effort to support American workers by buying American products.”

AGY’s Made in America campaign is designed to re-affirm to its customers that AGY glass
fiber products are made in the U.S. “It should resonate well with our many customers who want to buy
products that are made in the U.S. while contributing to the long-term health and growth of our
economy,” said Walker.

The Made in America campaign reinforces the idea that AGY is a company that is ‘Quality
Obsessed.’ “We are meeting with all employees to emphasize the importance of producing a quality
product they can be proud of,” said Walker. Currently, the Aiken facility is flying large American flags with a banner under each proclaiming “AGY – Made in America.” All products will have “Made in
America” stickers attached.

AGY’s glass fiber manufacturing facility has been in Aiken since 1960 and has contributed
significantly to the local economy over the years. Rather than exporting jobs overseas like so many
U.S. manufacturers, AGY exports its products to countries in Europe and Asia. “We are helping both
our local and U.S. economy, and our job market at a critical time for the country,” added Walker. “Not
only are AGY products made in South Carolina, but many are sold here as well. AGY keeps the jobs
and profits within the state.”
