Aiken Manufacturing Facility
PGM Apprentice - Aiken, SC
The PGM Apprentice will process refractory, clean and prepare metal for metal and cast bushings, as well as disassemble process equipment. This position will also learn and observe properties and fundamentals of Precious Metal Alloy Processing.
Requirements include:
- AA / AS Degree or High School diploma / GED with comparable work experience
- Current enrollment / graduation from a formal welding training program or comparable work experience; advanced welding certification is desired
- Basic understanding and practical application of TIG welding
- Minimally acceptable Workkeys® scores
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, squat, twist, turn, climb, work overhead, wear required PPE, and work in a hot, confined environment
- Must be physically able to repeatedly lift in excess of 50 pounds throughout the day
- Must exhibit the welding capability to progress to the PGM Specialist First Class position within 24 months

Senior Operations Finance Analyst - Aiken Manufacturing
Reporting directly to the Operations Controller, this position will perform a broad range of financial monitoring, reporting, analysis, communications and education as a financial leader of specific manufacturing and supply chain functions within a complex global operations environment. The incumbent will work as a financial partner to cross-functional operations teams providing leadership to assure well-formed financial decision-making and utilization of effective financial controls within assigned areas. Core responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Perform in-depth monitoring, reporting, analysis, communications for optimization and control of manufacturing direct costs and related resource utilization, overhead costs, freight, warehousing and other supply chain / logistics costs
- Determine root cause cost of variance from budget and actively lead communication processes with appropriate management o ensure understanding and corrective actions
- Provide specific deliverables during monthly close process and other periodic financial reporting cycles explaining variation from budget and other comparisons
- Provide financial support for assigned areas of the annual budget process
Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience:
- BS degree in accounting or finance; MPA preferred
- At least five (5) years in a financial analysis role within a complex process manufacturing environment
- Clear demonstration of applied knowledge of technical financial analysis of problem solving skills
- Ability to deliver notable impact through strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross functional operations environment
- Experience with ERP financial module functionality and integration; prefer Oracle ERP Implementation and Product Cost Module experience
- Experience with setup, operation and maintenance of a product standard costing system in a high volume continuous manufacturing process environment
- Highly proficient in use of financial evaluation methods including NPV, IRR, ABC, EVA
- Highly proficient user / developer in business intelligence and reporting toolsets for reporting development, decision-modeling and other financial planning and analysis development
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Access and other desktop data analysis and reporting systems
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Central Systems and SAP Business Object applications preferred
