YARNS Plied yarns are two or more single continuous
filament yarns that have been combined by twisting and plying
strands of fiber in a second twisting operation. This technique
is also known as twisting. This is done to vary the strength
diameter and flexibility of the yarn on equipment modified
to meet special requirements.
